The first step is to complete your adoption application.
We will contact your landlord or HOA (if applicable) to ensure the pet you are adopting is permitted. We will complete reference calls with your veterinarian (if you have had recent past pets or have current pets) and two personal references. The last step is a virtual or in person home visit. This process typically takes a couple weeks, but could take only a few days or a few weeks pending the number of applications we are currently processing and the available status of the adoptable pet you are applying for. We will keep you posted of the status of your application as updates are available.
Our adoption donations (fees) are:
Puppies (up to 1 year) $300 | Dogs(1-9 years) $250 | Seniors (9 years+) $175
Kittens (up to 1 year) $100 | Cats (1-9 years) $50 | Seniors (9 years+) tbd
Spay/neuter refundable deposit $50
All adoptions include a 2 week trial period during which, if the adoption is not a match, your adoption donation will be returned to you. While we will always take back a WTFR animal at any time in the animal's life (and is required should you be unable to keep your pet), adoption donations will not be returned after the 2 week trial period.
By pressing submit above, you acknowledge that you have answered these questions truthfully and understand the adoption process.
Our goal here at Wagon Tails Farm Rescue is to match our animals in need with homes that are best suited for them. In doing so, we take many factors into consideration. If you are not approved for a specific animal, it does not mean that your house is not acceptable or that you are not a good pet owner. We will keep your application on file for 60 days should you return interested in another animal we have available that would be better suited.
